Just a month ago, Twitchfilm brought you the teaser trailer for the new Tekken movie. And now it has a U.S. release date – 26th July, as well as a new trailer!
Titled TEKKEN: BLOOD VENGEANCE, it will be made in full 3D CGI animation. Director is Youichi Mouri, responsible for the opening movies of TEKKEN 5 and 6, while scriptwriter is Dai Sato, who wrote the screenplays for COWBOY BEBOP and GHOST IN THE SHELL: STAND ALONE COMPLEX. The production company Digital Frontier previously brought us APPLESEED and APPLESEED EX MACHINA. So at least one thing is guaranteed: it will look absolutely amazing! And the trailer totally confirms it.

Hmm I didn’t feel a thing. Which is unusual because I apparently I am a human quake detector. The last big one we had, I felt the couch move but my husband felt nothing! One has to wonder whether mother nature has something planned for us…or maybe I’ve been watching too much National Geographic.

Melbourne city jolted by quake
Melbourne city has been shaken by a series of earth tremors following a 4.4 magnitude quake in Gippsland.
More aftershocks are expected after Victoria’s south was rocked by two earthquakes, including a magnitude 4.4 tremor felt more than 100km away from the epicentre near Korumburra.
The shallow magnitude 4.4 earthquake, which hit at 11.32am, was felt in Melbourne’s CBD and the south-eastern suburbs.
A second, smaller quake shook Korumburra, with reports it was again felt in Melbourne, at 12.37pm, a spokesman from Geosciences Australia said. The epicentre of the original quake was about 7km west of Korumburra.

Comments 106 At least 4800 Australian websites have been lost with no chance of recovery following a break-in at Australian domain registrar and web host Distribute.IT.
The hack attack caused so much damage that four of the company’s servers were “unrecoverable”, the company said, leaving thousands of website owners in the lurch.
“The overall magnitude of the tragedy and the loss of our information and yours is simply incalculable; and we are distressed by the actions of the parties responsible for this reprehensible act,” Distribute.IT said.

Hahaa this is hilarious.

October this year I will be travelling to Japan, landing first in Tokyo and sightseeing around the country for three weeks. I am so excited, I can’t wait. I went to Japan in October 2010 and it’ll be on the anniversary of that trip that I will be going back!
This time should hopefully be more enjoyable having been there before and knowing what to expect. I will be aided by 8 weeks of Japanese language lessons also which will be a bonus. I will revisit Nagasaki, Miyajima (specifically to see Itsukushima Shrine again, Hiroshima, and Kyoto. Undecided on other areas yet.
I will also better prepare to bring back purchases. The first time we scrambled at the last minute to buy a dodgy suitcase to bring back all our anime merchandise. We were sure we would have some casualties but thankfully, everything was intact.
America’s ad for the new 2011 Toyota Corolla featuring…Hatsune Miku? This is odd and boring really.

Customer & Service Culture in IT? Not going to happen unless…!03.31.2011
I am always surprised…no amazed….in fact staggered. That is it. Literally staggered! At how poor we are in IT at being Customer and Service focused. I passed my ITIL V1 Service manager and seem to remember that ITIL has always!….always, ever been about Customers and Service. I remember David Wheeldon teaching me ITIL when I was a technogeek who thought that Users were something dangerous and contagious. I thought we should outsource the business as they got in the way of IT and were simply annoying. David taught me they were human after all just like us, and it was our job to provide services and value to them. I wasn’t convinced but I was willing to be open. That was about 20 years ago.

After watching Bamboo Blade I had an urge to try Kendo and after months of waiting I got my chance! Melbourne Budokai had an introduction course starting on the 8th of June, I attended my first lesson last night. But OMG I am so sore today. Every muscle in my legs ache and feel like jelly.
We learnt how to sit in Seiza and from this I have a bruise under each knee. :S
The instructors took us through bowing and also Mokuso which is meditating. We learnt one cutting strike and practiced footwork. In a two hour session, we did a fair bit! I can’t wait to go back on Sunday.
